These pictures were painted in Russia during 2002, and will be published in Out of Time—the second book of the Altai Chronicles trilogy—which is currently in press. These are renderings of the artist Carol Hiltner’s visions as related to Russians whom she had come to know over the previous year. They are approximately three feet by four feet—acrylic on canvas.
